NICHOLOS DUSARD

BIOGRAPHY

Nicholos Dusard is a Jamaican born Taekwon-Do (Korean martial art of self defense) practitioner, with extensive experience and knowledge in armed and unarmed combat/ self defense. He is also an elite Taekwon-Do competitor, having won numerous accolades in the competition arena for his native Jamaica. Nicholos started Taekwon-Do in July 1999 at age 9, received his black belt in October 2004 and began his international competition career. In that same year, he won a bronze medal at the first ever International Taekwon-Do Federation World Cup in Orlando, Florida.

His instructor, Master Peter Lue, identified him as a talented instructor at an early age. Master Lue charged him with the responsibility of teaching his junior class at the young age of 16. Since then, Nicholos has developed into an expert in the art and is now a 5th degree Black Belt. On his journey to becoming an expert instructor in the art, he has played a vital role in the development of Taekwon-Do in Jamaica, where he was a member of the technical committee, the examination committee and the board of directors. Nicholos has developed into one of the most sought after Taekwon-Do instructors in the Caribbean. He is currently the technical Director of the Trinidad & Tobago Taekwon-Do Federation and currently under consideration to be Technical Director of Taekwon-Do in Suriname.

Outside of his Martial Arts career, Nicholos Dusard studied at the University of Technology, Jamaica (2009-2013) where he pursued a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering and, more recently, completed his Masters Degree in Construction Project Management at the University of the West Indies, Trinidad & Tobago (2016-2017).
